Hasselback Potatoes

Want to take regular average baked potato to a whole new level? You have got to try it hasselback style then!

Now just like regular baked potatoes, the hasselback version can be seasoned up the way you like it. This recipe though is spicy with one of my favorite herbs, rosemary! 🌿


  1. Potatoes
  2. Garlic, minced
  3. Rosemary, chopped
  4. Salt and pepper to taste
  5. Chilli powder/flakes (according to the level of spice you can handle)
  6. Oil for greasing
  7. Herbs of choice for garnish


  1. Preheat the oven at 200°C
  2. Cut vertical slits in the potatoes stopping about half an inch from the bottom so that the potato does not fall apart. To make it easier, place the potato between the handles of two wooden spoons so that the knife won’t slide through the entire potato
  3. Place the potato on the oven dish, grease with oil and add your seasonings making sure that the spices coat in each and every slit in the potato 🌶
  4. Bake for 30-45 minutes, rotating the dish half way through for even cooking, until the potatoes are cooked through and crispy on the outside (depends on the size of the potatoes, the oven, etc.)
  5. Add your garnish herbs serve hot! 🔥
