Sprouted Hummus

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 2 cups sprouted chickpeas*
  2. 1 cup sesame seeds/6-8 tbsp tahini, creaminess as desired
  3. 1/2 lemon juice
  4. 2-3 garlic cloves**
  5. 1.5 tsp cumin powder
  6. 2 chopped green chilis***
  7. Salt to taste (optional)
  8. Olive oil, drizzle on top (optional)
  9. Water to blend, desired consistency

*Sprout the chickpeas for at least 2-3 days for better digestion.

**This is, kind of, a necessary ingredient or the hummus won’t taste as good as without it.

***Indian in me needed this, you absolutely can skip it if you want!

    Can you please post how to sprout the chick peas?

      All you’ve got to do after letting it soak overnight is keep it in a dark corner and let it do it’s thing. It will sprout in 2-3 days, depending on the temperature, just keep checking on it every 12 hours or so.
